Changed my string and created some issues.

With several hundred shots on my stock string my serving was becoming unraveled. With a brand new Excel string on hand I figured it was time to change the string. Equiped with the Excal stringer, I was set to change the string. I tried several times to get the stringer to cock but it would not load....

That would of been a nice deer in a few years.

Good "management" buck though.

Just kidding that thing is awesome.

The rope cocker makes pretty easy work of it. My 13 year old neice can do it with a little elbow grease. If you seem to be struggling at the top of the motion, try shortening up the string on the cocker. You will have to pull up on the string at the beginning to attach the hooks but you dont have to...

kendo, I dont think that the tool cuts anything. I think that it just grabs ahold of the interior lining and allows more control of the area. With a knife the area wants to give and it is also very flexible there making it more difficult to get a solid cut. With this thing it looks like you jam it i...

With modern materials, such as laminated limbs and newer glues, recurve limbs can be strung for a long time. Often limbs become twisted while strung when it is hot. Also, if they have been stored upright on a bowtip, the weight of the bow can eventually twist a limb as well. The best thing to do if ...

I might pick one up.

Even though it is not that hard to do with a knife, it is IMO the most time consuming part of the process.

This tool looks like it would make quick work of a dirty job.

The vixen would be fine.

Remember people have killed moose with recurves and longbows shooting at under 200 fps, more likely 160fps-190fps.

I think the vixen shooting 285 fps will have no problem.

It is almost impossible to give an average score for a 3-D course because each course is different. Don't worry about what your score is, just try to improve each time. My thought on 3-D scoring is that if you average 8, on average you have "killed" on each shot. In competitions, top compo...

What else can I say....

I still feel there is no reason to take anything less than the best possible shot. To take a harder shot, when a better shot is available for the sole purpose of determining broadhead effectiveness it what I have an issue with.

"In so doing, I intentionally placed the broadhead through both shoulders to test it's efficiency." Pretty poor choice IMO. What if your "TEST" results were not a pass thru and resulted in a lost and wounded animal? Taking a "low percentage" or "risky" shot on...

Stick with the simple ones (read no rails near your seat)

Last year I hunted a ladder stand the someone else had put up, I had never used it before.

Once I got up there I realized it would be next to impossible to recock my bow in the stand.

The rails were to narrow for the limbs to fit between.

I have a tenpoint QX-4 with a single red dot scope. Sighted in at around 23 yards, I will put it in the vitals from 0-30 yards, if I aim for the dead center of the lungs. I am normally aware enough to manually adjust at the time of the shot to put it where I what it from 0-30 yards. Just a tad bit a...

Wow, I am suprised by some of the reports. I have shot several different broadheads out of my Exocet 200 and they all fly identical to my field points. Fixed: Montec G5, Mechanical: Snypers and Grim Reapers, Replacement blade: Slick Tricks. They are all what I consider narrow broadheads, which is go...
