Thanks for all of the info and advice. While i've always liked most of the excalibur line (Ibex included) the reasons for seeking the vixen are multi fold. First, he only weights 55lbs, so a light package is important. My plan was to go without dissapator bars and use the pin and peep. I do realize ...

thumbhole vixen
Looking for a crossbow for my 9 year old son. He has shot both my exocet and my brothers vortex. The vortex stock seems to fit him a little better, as it is a little shorter. Also, the pistol grip seems to give him a little better control. Im wondering how to get my hands on a thumbhole stocked vixe...

Flat Nocks for Gold Tip Lazer II's.....I need 'em.
Went to refletch some shafts today and realized that they came with the wrong nocks. I have heard that I could grind these down but would prefer not to. It has been a while since I purchased these so I can't return them and the prices I have seen to purchase a dozen is crazy. I was hoping that someo...

I'd suggest a fixed blade broadhead, such as the g5 montec. As is the case with many urban/suburban hunts, the deer are plentiful. The problem with large blade expandables is that they are not very sturdy and replacing broken broadheads will eventually hit you in the wallet. Also IMO, large blade he...

I can only hope that not much has changed. While the competition (if there even is such a thing) is busy trying to come out with some newfangled features to sell their bows, I purchased my excalibur because it was a bare bones no nonsense hunting machine. I my only wish is that they had made my mode...

Wabi, I completely see your post as nothing more than a malicious attack as an attempt make them lose customers. lets see.... Quote: I apologize you didnt shop around before your purchase. Ebay can be cheaper or more depending. If you want the best price, always shop around. Mark Sent this in reply:...

straight may work for target arrows, but for a broadhead you will need an offset or helical fletch. lh or rh should be no different, as far as performance. one benift of a rh offset or helical is that it will keep your tips from coming loose though. thats why all my bolts are fletched with rh offset.

The shipping from their store was $7.00 when I placed the order, then I checked eBay and found the same item for the same price with shipping only being $3.50. I could have cancelled the order from the store and re-ordered from eBay saving $3.50, but I thought I'd ask for a price adjustment first. ...

wabi, im just curious, did the shipping say $3.50 and then they charged you $7.00 or have you ordered there before and the shipping was $3.50 and they rasied it to $7.00. Honestly, plenty of people on Ebay use shipping cost to increase profits, that is on of the most important things to look at when...

widowman . . .I appreciate your input, however, if you can, try and keep this a civil, intelligent debate. . Sorry if you think I'm being less than civil or intelligent. However, I don't know how to sugar coat the info you have provided. If the blades are breaking and you are not getting pass thrus...
