Summer, I think you will get less wind effect with the faster bolt.

Not sure how a bolt flys but in an aircraft the size or weight made no difference on wind drift, just the speed of the aircraft and aircraft speed vx wind speed/wind direction.

Comfy this string handles the emax claw pressure much better than the excal FFF. That serving is bullet proof, good job buddy.

I use to have a zero clearance wood stove, (fireplace) in the basement of a duplex I owned. I put in two floor registers, one to my room and the living room with rheostat switches. I also have an efficient small wood burner in the living room. Kept the house nice and cozy. I love a fire also to set ...

Busting them out and tracking sounds like a descent idea. Unfortunately around here in Ohio this year the weather has not permitted much tracking. The bunnies do like my apples I leave out for the deer though. I have shot quite a few rabbits with shotguns in my youth. We had beagles but occasionally...

I use to shoot beeman thunderbolts out of the mag. I think they weiged around 435 with 100 grain head. I do not have a chrono but according to my varizone they shot 15 fps slower than my gold tips at 345 grains.

Around here unless you jump them they only come out at night. Driving them like a deer drive can work with shotguns, but with an xbow hunting rabbits is not easy. I have read about guys still hunting walk and stalk style but I hunt like that all the time for deer and very rarely see a rabbit.

Sax my first xbow was a revolution. I dry fired it and they fixed it for free, LOL. I thought that was pretty good of them, plus it was a week before deer season so they hurried up and got it back to me before the first day. It shot hard, but I thought I could shoot better than it could if you know ...

Besides width, is there any advantage to the swept back limbs. It seems to make the xbows too long to me. I would think sweeping them forward and shortening the xbow would be the way to go.

What am I missing on this?

Plus why build a heavy cocking system into an xbow. I see no good reason to do that. Who wants to carry something around you are only going to use once at the very beginning of the hunt? so you just leave your cocking aid in the truck? 9lbs isnt very heavy at all if you are use to hunting with a gu...
