Nicely done!

Congratulations on a very nice deer!

I have a friend who nicked a huge buck earlier this season, and I know he'd like to have a second chance at it. I'm glad you did get a second chance!

Congrats to all who have harvested deer this year so far! :D I'm hoping some of this good karma rubs off on me for the gun season. I only made it out 3 times for archery & early ML, to no avail. Of course, with my kids in the car, I see a nice buck this afternoon. :x Anyway, a hearty congrats ag...

What kind of bolts?

Mine have a lot of helical, and they fly right with field points.

If your bolts don't have a lot of helical, they might not fly the same.

I am deffinately no bear expert but I think if I were you, I would probably get some heavier broadheads, and I would consider using some heavy aluminum bolts instead of the stock carbon ones that come in the kit. True, I think I'd use 125 Gr or heavier fixed blade heads (Slick Tricks or Montecs are...

VixChix, Sorry to hear that. When I went out for the last day of Early ML in PA a week ago, all I saw were a half a dozen squirrels......followed by a pair of squirrel hunters. The squirrels holed up until the hunters left. Unfortunately, I'm hunting public land, so I feel your pain. -Mike

BU,
That's great!

I just bought a tent blind, and hope to take my eldest soon.

I'd take both my boys, but every deer within a mile would spook & that's not fair to the other hunters on State land.
