You should try to get completely out of bed before shooting. This sounds like the epitome of laziness, trying to hunt from the comfort of your bedroom. Live a little, leave the yard even !! Maybe even go for a walk in the woods !! .......maybe I've missed the gist of this post !! That'...

FOC monkey business anyone?

This may be a silly question, but that's never stopped me before... Is there any effective difference between using a bolt with: lighter inserts + a heavier broadhead heavier inserts + lighter broadhead? The reason I ask is that I think there are more 125 gr heads than 100 gr heads available. ...

Re: Bohning Vanes Revisited

Check to see where the dried glue stays,if they are coming off that easy. From what you have been describing,I would suspect the the glue is staying on the shaft. I would recommend that you wipe the base of the vane with acetone first, before applying the glue. I see that recommended by some vane ma...

Blazer vanes....thoughts after season

I was searching the forum for info on the Blazers and ran across this... Are these blazers as good as everyone seems to say? So far for me... YES.. Woody, Do you still like them? Did you use them this season exclusively? Anyone use them on a Beman Thunderbolt shaft? I figure they have to help up the...

Butcher, Peoples' opinions vary, but a balance point 2 1/2" to 3" in front of center puts the F.O.C 12.1% to 14.5%, as a point of reference for your arrow/broadhead. I think everyone agrees it should be at least 10%, if not a smidge more and I think having an FOC too high is better than on...

According to the following auto-magic calculator:
http://home.att.net/~sajackson/archery9.html

I get 6.3% if I use 20 5/8 as the arrow length.

Seems too small an FOC to me and you'd want a heavier broadhead.

Please, someone else check this too.
