Bowtech - I am about to pick up an Allegiance - I had looked at the PSE Vengeance, but Bowtech makes the best bows out now.

The draw argument is crap - 70 pound bow with a 80% let off = 14 pounds to hold back while aiming - I own a bow like this and it's cake to draw back. in a treestand with a crossbow you still have to pick it up and aim it, unless you have some sytem that holds it in place and just pray that the deer ...

I am not sure I follow what you are saying.

The lazy argument comes from the idea that a vert bow is difficult to become good with. It takes practice and work to shoot well. A crossbow takes about 30 minutes to get good with. I understand this argument because it took me forever to get good with a vert bow, after very few shots I was shooting...

Ron - I have no problem with the US spying on terrorists, I encourage it. We even have a secret court that can issue warrants after the fact, so they won't be slowing Bush down when he needs info in a hurry. I am damn glad we have those courts. It let's our law enforcement do what they need to do so...

Have the bowhunters been able to keep crossbows out of any state that was considering making crossbows legal?

I can't wait till we get a 700-800 pound bow that I have to use the winch on my atv to cock. Untill a bolt can break the sound barrier it's too damn slow. Sure my Exomax will do a pass through on one deer, but what happens when I have eight or ten of them lined up? Or if one is wearing a kevlar vest...

so far it's easy, well untill I crack open a cold beer!!! Then it gets hard. My solution is to quit drinking and avoid my drinking buddies for a good while! Probably good for me as well.

Next thing you know I will be trying to shed lard. I am going downhill fast!!! lol

So far quiting has been easier then I thought, I have tried many times "cold turkey" but it never works for me.

This patch kicks butt! In a few days I do my first step down in patches. We will see how bad it is then... I have a feeling it's gonna start to suck...
