Hi Grizzly. Welcome. I too live in the sweltering South.......... Georgia. It is hard to believe with the near 100 degree weather that our bow season begins in mid September, and even harder to make yourself get out and shoot. You will find that the vast majority of the forum members are avid hunter...

I found a better price on the internet at Ye Olde Archery Shoppe, $704.98 plus shipping. You probably could shop around and find an even better price than this. I've never order from this particular place so I don't know what their shipping charges are like. However, you probably are like me. You wa...

Desert Rat, I've been in combat, have you? I doubt it, but not to worry there will always be diplomats like you that turn the other cheek so that it too can be slapped. By the way do you know any other big words....other than s_ _t. Incidentally, I was not responding to Canadian politics because eve...

Hey JeffOwens are you receiving or making phone calls to Iraq, Iran, or Afganistan? If the answer is no I don't believe that the government would be spying on you. If the answer is "yes" I hope that we know what you are planning. I truly believe that when it comes to the safety of my famil...

Welcome aboard, Lucky 13. This past season, that ended yesterday here in Georgia, was my first year hunting with a crossbow. I started shooting another brand of bow in 2004, but saw the light and bought an Excalibur Phoenix last fall. Two deer later I couldn't be more pleased. This forum has some ex...

Well said, Tom. I certainly did not mean to imply that Excalibur is not a class act because they certainly are. I have nothing but respect for Bill T. and his crew. I am disgusted with the SPAM and was just venting.

I agree that somebody needs to ride shotgun. I am disgusted with the amount of spam spam since Christmas. I also did not realize that across the counter medications had any business on a crossbow site......but I'm old fashioned. 3:13 PM Moderators are back and have cleaned it up Great job guys! Ron

Hi Grizzled. The photos are beautiful, but what's all that white stuff? I just pulled my local weather off the internet and as you can see we have the advantage with heating bills, but you sure have the advantage on tracking any bow shot animals. Portable Hunting Blinds
I have two of the Outhouse models and I agree that they should be set up a couple of days before you use them. I have seen a lot of deer from mine and harvested two. I have learned to open the windows on one side only so that the deer can't silhouette me between the windows. The blinds are perfect f...

Australia proof that gun laws don't work
Amen, Woody. I think everybody who believes in gun control should be required to put a sign in their yard that says, "We don't own any guns." I wonder how long they would keep all of their possessions. I believe that I have the right to own firearms and to protect my family and property by...
