All great ideas and I am sure they taste good. In answer to your question, I BBQ venison burgers all the time, just making it into patties without adding anything. They are awesome.

Nope. It was in a small container with a red label and is produced in Ontario from a single deer farm. I've only ever seen the stuff at Canadian Tire.

I purchased some doe in heat scent this year from the local canadian tire. I can't remember the brand name but it is produced locally in ontario. Each container is pretty small. They produce both buck scent and doe in heat scent. Each container is labelled with the buck or doe's number identifying w...

Was out Sunday. Deer were on the move everywhere. Watched a small buck chase a doe and fawn around a field for 10 minutes. Saw one big buck on the prowl. Lots of does running around. I suspect the bucks were pushing them. We killed two does.

did some just the other night. Cut them up in small pieces. Added onion, green pepper, mushrooms, a little garlic salt, white wine, and terryaki sauce. Simmered for about 15 minutes. Melt in your mouth.

I killed two bucks on the second day of the season this year. The blood trail on both was difficult to follow and eventually went down to nothing. I eventually found both bucks by continued searching in the last direction I saw them headed. Both deer were lung shot. One was a single lung shot, the o...

Could not agree more Fox. I also believe we are regulated to death in every facet of our lives. Let's not start aksing MNR to put more regs. in place.

Hey guys. Have any of you ever been on the NWTF forum. They have numerous endless chains of political crap. It has gotten to the point that I don't even visit that site. I realize politics can be a very emotional subject for people and for that reason lets let these typs of discussions occur on a po...

Dry Fire

Been hunting with an xbow since 1991. I have never dry fired my bow before. Last week while taking a few practice shots, I cocked the bow, carefully sighted in and let a perfect shot go, except for one thing. I forgot to load in a bolt. I thought the bow made a different noise when I shot and I look...

I found the last few years I really only have to start baiting a few days before the season. The deer com there naturally because of the number of wild apple trees. I put out apples just to get them in bow range. There is no way way to setup close to one of these apple trees unless out of a ground b...

I own an Exomag myself. It shoots great. Previous to that I owned an Exocet 175# that I bought in 1994. Shot a lot of deer with it. Traded up just in case I ever wanted to chase moose. Took 2 does with the mag last year. Both went less than 50 yds before expiring.

Some a__hole behind a desk in the Ministry decided the extra tags fro the controlled hunt in December should go on sale Oct. 1, so I will be standing in line at the local office to get a tag. Not only that but we can't even dial in to find out if we've been selected in the draw for the controlled hu...
