Re: Best string wax

I don’t wax them before I send them out. I coat them is pure silicone oil. Use any wax that liquifies when it’s rubbed with your finger. The preference is a wax with silicone but it’s not super necessary. Bohning has a couple of good waxes. BCY puts out something called ML6. The best time to wax a s...

My first Turkey with the RevX

I've been seeing turkeys mid afternoon on the cams so with that pattern, I went to my property at 2pm. At 4:40 10 Jakes showed up and a tom was with them. The Jakes came over and pecked at my decoys and the Tom stayed in the clover. After what seem like an eternity, they started to walk off includin...

RevX LOP

For anyone that hears/reads that it is 16” it’s true butttttt, somehow it accommodates an amazing range of LOP needs. I am now 5’2” (welcome to the last half of my life😤). Danny Miller is about 6’2” and he thought it was the normal 14” or so and had to go and measure it when I told him the LOP. I do...

What.model vanguard do you use boo ?
I see the name Quest B62. It’s light weight but doesn’t feel cheaply made.

Re: Good Tripod for rev x

I haven’t used them with the RevX for shooting but I used a Bog Deathgrip to hold the bow to set it up. I also use it to install scopes or even clean a bore. Works well but a little pricy but bulky and a bit heavy. It is a very nice tripod. My Vanguard bipod has been used for probably 30 years now w...

Re: Proper way to sight in overwatch scope ?

Donno if there’s a “proper” way. I use the deck of the mainframe because it determines the POI, not the limbs. I use a plumb line to get the vertical set because it is more accurate and I don’t trust the scope turret. I zero at 20 yards. Then I stack 2 targets at 40 yards and shoot at a mark at the ...

I think you're going to love the bow, I do! I haven't chrono'd the bow and don't plan on it. If for some reason I have to get the chronograph out I will check out the speeds.

Re: O/T AJO1

Actually, I did get good news yesterday from my neurosurgeon, NO SURGERY needed yet!! I do have 2 herniated disk in my neck. But he doesn't want to operate. Seems to think steroids and physical therapy will work. I hope so. Thanks, Norman, for thinking about that. Andy Go for it...
