I carry a come-along winch with me all season long in behind the seat of my truck. It makes it a heck of a lot easier to get OLE MOSSY HORNS loaded into my four wheel drive after the kill. I wrap a rope around the antlers then hook the winch to the rope and start jacking. It sure beats busting a nu...

No wait, I got it backwards, my hair, then the armpits and FINALLY the groin   Anyhow, also use baking soda in the washer for my hunting clothes. I sweat alot , so I...

a little extra slack and a full spool might help on the string breaking. The results of tonight's testing. First shot: Using a light rubber band I looped it over the shaft and slid it down to the partially loose field point. I snugged it to the shaft of the field point and tightened the point down ...

I use the Garmin Etrex Vista for work. I don't have the color version but the unit is very user friendly and has only failed me one time. (Heavy cloud and tree cover) I highly recommend the Garmin GPS units. They've got me sold.

I've used the tracker on my compound with good success. Especially useful on those just before dark shots. Haven't tried it on the crossbow but I read somewhere that the string tends to break when you fire the arrow. Don't know how true that is. This will be my first crossbow hunting season and I'm...

Re: Deck Wax

In prepping my Emag for the upcoming season, some questions came to mind regarding deck wax. Do you put it on the string only, and let it transfer to the rail via repeated shots? Or do you put it on both the rail and the string? Also, do you clean off the old wax from the rail, and if so, how often...
