In each of my stands I hang a about a 12 in length of dental floss from a limb. It moves with the slightest breeze showing the air currents.
For a powder i would think flour or unscented talcum powder would do the trick.

As a former tree trimmer that has spent some time dangling from a rope in a tree, I offer this. The full body harness is definitely the way to go. If not then the lower body harness is the next best thing. Throw away your single strap harness before you hurt yourself. If you are not wearing a harnes...

Just an update. It kept bugging me how the string flipped that arrow from the quiver, so today I took some time to compare how the bracket and the quiver locking bar were mounted on the xbow. Compared it to photos on the Excal site and not only was it mounted bass ackwards, but upside down as well (...

Joe The shiny window fabric is on the inside and is what keeps your scent from leaving the blind. By the camo being on the outside it doesn't seem to reflect light to scare deer but to me they are not clear enough to see through. Thanks silenthunter. I wanted to open the blind up in the living run ...

Well, For the last 15 years I hunted exclusively out of tree stands and I loved it. Iused both tree ladders and hanging stands with yard sale ladders. I hunt public land and simply cabled them to the tree and never had a problem. This year is my first year hunting on the ground in a long, long time a...

OK, this isn't about pink doghouse blinds but it is about doghouse blinds. I just receiveda Doghouse TSC in Realtree camo and was rattttther surprised when I opened the pouch that contains the window screens. They seem to be rather shiny. Is this a problem or does the glare disappear when they are s...

Picked up a monopod at WalMart tonight for ten bucks. It collapses down to 21.5 in and extends to 63 in. It has a removeable gun rest and wrist strap on top. If you take the rest off, it exposes a threaded shaft that's the same as a camera or spotting scope. Very light. Made by Allen and called the ...
