The gun is a Winchester model 50-------or a model 59 if it is a fiberglass wrapped barrel-------my father had a model 50------and my son has it now.it is a semi-automic.--------Elf.

I just use the ones that came with my scope---make sure lenses are clean
and you put it on so elastics are in an x shape on top of scope-------if you
can`t see to shoot------it is too ---early or late.After 10 to 12 years of doing it this way-------no problem.-------Elf.

good shooting--------I shoot with some other old farts like myself-----and some of them can do that with a longbow -----no sights------of course they have been shooting the same bow for years.---I waver too much to do what you have done -----but with practice-----just maybe----------.Elf.

The easiest way is to just put it in a case------and avoid any possibility of conflict with any law enforcement official-------or anti----you might encounter--------jmho.-------------Elf.

Horton makes a thing called-------THE KNEE POD.-----www.crossbow.com It is a steadying device which fits on your knee and is adjustable for height and the top padded curved part swivels 360 degrees.Works like a dream----anything you sit on ------you can use it-------I have had mine about 2 weeks now...

In Ontario----------a crossbow must be encased -----BETWEEN 1/2 HOUR AFTER SUNSET-----AND 1/2 HOUR BEFORE SUNRISE.-------.Not sure during daylight hours --------but I would imagine common sense would play a good part in it.-------ELF.

I have done the strap bit-----but uno-----always looking for new and better[easier] ways to do the job.
