Gone full time
Greywolf: Good for you. One of my forum friends from Canada refers to his custom arrows w/ wraps as "tarted up shafts" LOL. That dozen I got from you certainly match that description! They also have the least variation weight wise of all the arrows I've bought [3-4 dozen]. They were actual...

Good idea! My factory issue poles didn't last one whole season, and cost $8 to replace plus shipping. Here' a trick you might like: Cut 4 pcs of 1/2" pvc pie about 1" long and glue them into those little pockets where the rods fit. Lots easier to see and set up in poor light Regards

scales
I recently got a cheap digital scale from Cabelas around $35 and it works well. It's accurate to +- 1 grain, will measure in gr. grams oz or penny weight. It also has a "tare" feature, so you can carve a v block out of wood to keep the arrows from rolling around on the weighing platform.

choppers
old joke, just can't help myself, LOL In the U.S. Army they are called choppers. In the U.S. Air Force they are known as whirlybirds. The U.S. Navy refers to them as helo's. The U. S. Marines see them and say; OOH! OOH!

Good business people!
I got my arrows from Greywolf today, they are almost too pretty to shoot! So far, I've done business w/ Mark on a stock and Greywolf on these arrows, both good deals w/ folks who not only keep their word, but still take yours. The arrows were in the mail before I got to town to get a money order! Th...

raffle question
Gary L: Seems simple enough to me, US winner gets the gun, Canadian winner gets a check for a nice chunk of change. Looks like a win/win all around.

level
Wabi: The only level Excal sells is for the older risers which have two drilled and tapped holes for a dovetail, which you can either use to mount a front sight for peep sights, or a level. The newer style risers have the male dovetail machined into or on them. They are not planning on bringing a le...

The best target I've tried is the McKenzie orange xbow target. Same type matl and construction as the Block, [layered foam] but they have exposed cables on the four corners that you can easily tighten up twice each. They are about the same price as I paid for the Block $69. They stop both points and...

holdover
Navaman: If your scope has "duplex" reticle, you would have three point that were "on" at some ranges, would just be a matter of experimenting. On the Varizone, where the duplex thins is about 10 yds when xhair is on at 20yds. If you have duplex, you could use the point where ver...

Just a word of warning: If you're shooting carbon LII's out of a fast xbow, they "glue" themselves in the 18-1. Aluminum, however, they are the best!

sidekick: their arrows are: gold tip lII's w/ alum inserts 5" vanes 100 gr points, all of which weigh the minimum of about 357gr. This is so they can be competitive in the "speed wars". IMHO. They are not the best choice you can make, but are fast and adequate. I got turned on to the ...

sar: what happens if you do shoot one there well after dark? How and who recovers the hog? I wouldn't think ya could leave em lay til daylight, do they butcher em for ya? I went on a hunt down that way at another place awhile back, didn't get one, but not cause they weren't there. That place is clos...
