New Vs Old

I had the chance to compare my " brand new bought this spring" Exomax beside an older carved tip Exocet 175 Lbs . It was neat to see compare the 2 and see how the bow has evolved over the years . The difference between the 2 bows are subtle . The biggest thing is the carved tips compared t...

I haven't dryfired my Exomax yet but on Saturday I thought I screwed up royally . I fired without the arrow fully seated against the string . This was sighting in with the ":right stuff" carbons and braod heads for hunting season . I had switched to the FFF string for hunting season. ( I u...

Another vote for Archer's Nook I have been dealing with them a fair bit online and they have been excellent. I just ordered a carbon six shooter target from them . They callled me to explain that because of it's size the shipping would be more than usual . I ordered the target anyway but it was sure...

Thanks for all the info . I think that different light angles might have been the culprit I started shooting early and the sun was just poking above the trees and it was close to 11:00 am when I stopped. I was useing diffusers so as the sun got higher It was going more through them than sneeking pas...

Thanks for the info. I was trying to keep the brace hieght right on the one inch line but it did vary a little . I do want to try a string dampener . I had read that they quiet the bow down with no loss of velocity. If they make velocities more consistant that is just another reason to try them.

velocity variations

I went out to get my Exomax ready for hunting season . I have been practicing with 2219 eastons and the strings that come with the bow since spring . I switched to a FFF string and the carbon arrows that came with the right stuff package. I readjusted the scope and and they shot great with the targe...

OT walked out the door this morning to cops with guns

I had a bit of a suprise this morning . I walked out my front door to go to the garage and saw a cruiser and a city police officer with his shotgun in hand . I am to old to have to worry that he was there for me , 20 years ago I probably would have assuned he was looking for me . Turns out we had a ...

haven't done the biodeisel thing yet but when we get our hands on free veggie oil we run a 50/50 mix of veggie and regular diesel in the wifes truck . runs well saves us some cash and much less smelly than straight diesel .
