I was taught to remove it. Easier to do when the animal has aged with the skin on. You can pull it off the hind quarter if you puncture it between the sirlointip and top round.

Farmer-I live down the road in Gloucester. Extremely dry down here as well. Think we are 12" behind. Looks like hanging around water holes may be the ticket this year. Whats this about closing muzzleloader season?

So went out yesterday evening to give it shot along the edge of a cut corn field. Just around sunset a nice 8 (~19" inch spread not real tall but nice for this area) came down the lane off to the right. I gave a little grunt and he started working his way over to me. He got to about 30 yrd broa...
