Gary the dots are about 3/16" apart, maybe 1/4". The crosshairs do extend all the way across the lens. There are five different brightness settings for each color. There is plenty of separation, at least my eyes haven't had any problems. I'm normally not a big fan of "dot" type s...

I have a tenpoint proview on my Phoenix. It has cross-hairs and your choice between red or green dots(choice is nice!). My eyes like it alot. Don't know where you are in TN, but if your anywhere around Farragut, TN maybe we could get together and you could try mine and SEE what you think. Regards Joe

I have been using them on carbon, mainly because it's an expedient way to get vanes to adhere to the carbon shafts. I haven't noticed any difference in flight characteristics.

I like the titan and would consider buying one, it's good value for the money. But there are two kinds of people in this world, those who like thumbhole stocks and those who don't. It just seems like I could never get a good "purchase" on a rifle with one. Maybe it's because I shoot left-h...

I got'ta tell ya. I think it's academic anyway. Given the fact that the overwhelming majority are using their bows to hunt with, I think most, if not all would be tuning their bow to whatever their choice of broadhead/arrow combination might be, before they head out into woods or field. At least I h...

That's a very good point Rich. I should perhaps clarify. I supposed we could make a distinction between accuracy and precision. I should have been more specific. So, here goes. Given the fact that I am only able to shoot off-hand, that throws quite a variable into the mix. Having said that, my exper...

Interesting, I also have not experienced the erratic broadhead flight that I've been reading posted on here from time to time. Whether it be GT laser II's, 2216's, or more recently the Easton Powerbolts I've been playing with, broadhead flight seems to be fairly consistent with field tip POI. I've o...

As was pointed out to me sometime last year, replacing the center serving on your string is easy. It requires a few dollars for a serving tool and a spool of serving string. Cross bow center serving is available from Dan Miller and various other venders, I believe bowhunterssuperstore sells it. Do a...

Welcome and enjoy your hunt in Michigan. First deer I ever got was in Michigan, some 35 years ago. I used to live around Houghton Lake and hunted every day in season, I miss it very much. Good luck to you!

I second the Algoma Central. I rode it many years ago. Also, if your going through Mackinaw City, I would reccomend that you drive down the west coast of Lake Michigan about 12 miles to a place called Cross Village and dine at the famous Legs Inn, assuming it's still there, it's been 30 years, but I...

This is purely a subjective opinion wabi, but it's not enough that I would notice, but then again, I'm half deaf anyway. Too many years of shooting firearms when I was younger without the proper hearing protection, don't ya know.

Easton Carbon Power Bolts: First impressions...

I received a dozen of these bolts this week and started to play around with them. For anyone that might be interested, here’s the skinny: I weighed all the 20” bare shafts and they ranged in weight from 213.7grs. to 214.3grs. For a nominal of weight of 10.7 grs per inch. I also weighed all the inser...

Question about Dissapator bars?

I have a Phoenix with the dissipator bars and was wondering if anyone knows how far one is supposed to screw in the two bolts on each bar that hold the yoke(sic)? I have had this bow since March of this year and noticed today that one of the bolts worked loose. I screwed it back in and measured the ...
