Correct me if i'm wrong, I was told by a dealer last fri. that all excalibur were coming in with the old dacron string.,apparently because to many dry fires=broken equipment . this would account for the black string and reduced speed.

2 yrs ago a fairly new string flew off 2 times in a row for no obvious reason. I called excaliber ,the answer; put on a new string,problem solved.Still shootingsame string today.The boys at excaliber know their stuff,don,t be afraid to call them.

Frenchman.Try to set your bait closer to 20yds if you can. 30 yds is pushing with a bow. The bear might look big but he has a surpisingly small kill zone.Bears feed 24 hrs a day but the best time is from 5 pm to dark make sure you stay to last light.Good luck.

l would sight crossbow in at 25 yds.Limit shots to 35 yds max. Learn the yardage around your stand . Then you may to hold slightly high or low but practice all you can.remember when you shoot from a elevated stand the tendency is to shoot high.Learn your trajectory and you will do well.
