Understood Taxman. :wink: To answer Gary's question, my dad's weaver does indeed adjust parallex. It is similar to the scope shown at the link below. You're right with your statements ninepointer. My wrong! :oops: Parallex was most likely not the problem. I didn't initially see his "10pt 3x" as a Tenpoint crossbow scope. My point on parallex was to highlight that scopes suited for rifles(usually parallax free at 100 yards) are designed ...

You may be ok with a stringer with a lower poundage recurve bow with a shorter draw length (like the Vixen or Phoenix). The stringer is quite inexpensive and worth the try. If it doesn't work, Digger's alternatives are the way to go.

Cheap scope or wrong scope? Using a crossbow scope that is parallex free at bow ranges makes all the difference. I don't hear too many complaints from using the VariZone by Excalibur. I love mine! :wink:

In low light conditions the scope is superior. In general, peeps darken quickly to the point of being almost useless in the last 5 minutes of shooting light.
