Great story along with a great deer. I am new to crossbow hunting and it has opened several places for me to hunt that I could never get permission to gun hunt. I landed an 8 pointer (not as big as your 8 pointer) and a nice doe on Saturday morning, which were my first crossbow deer. Since this area...

Rage 2 Blade vs Rage 3 Blade Experience
Anyone one looking for Rage 3 Blade quickly learns they are on back order until after this year's season. I found Rage 2 Blade at a local Archery Shop and they said some people even prefer the 2 Blade 2 inch cut vs the 1.5 inch cut of the 3 Blade. Sounds like an excuse for being out of the Rage 3 Bl...

I have cocked by Exomax in the climbing stand with the rope cocking aid with no problem a number of times. I place the stirrup on the platform of the stand. I have hand cocked it a few times, but am concerned the string will not be dead center and the cocking aid takes care of that and it is much ea...

I am having the same experience. The pre-rut does not seem to have started. I have seen several buck traveling together at a distance and most of all of the does still have fawns. We had a cold front come thru over the weekend and don't know if that really has an effect, usually the amount of daylig...

I purchased my Exomax from Outdoors Experience in May. Their website is www.outdoorsexperience.com and their inventory was excellent. I make several phone calls to their customer service dept asking quite a few questions. They were very helpful. When I ordered, they shipped the next day. I later pur...

Unable to track my first kill
Kendo, thanks for sharing your knowledge of tracking deer. I have rifle and muzzleloader hunted for the past 20 years and this year finally started hunting with a crossbow last week. My 3 daughters were involved with fall soccer over the years I did not have the time to hunt until after archery seas...

Deer & Turkey
I see deer and turkey in the same area quite often. I would not change the location that you hunt. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I don't think you should have any problem.
