Cleveland OH archery / gun shop?

A friend of mine is making the trip to Cleveland to purchase a BMW motorcycle. They offered to do some shopping for me in the area. Any members from the area have a recommended / preferred shop for their hunting goods. It's my understanding that a Walmart is real close and pricing is better than pur...

Thanks for reply Farmer.... I took a closer look at the broadheads and noticed the blades were not quite aligned right. Fixed the problem and after shooting were bang on at 20 / 30 yds. Tried the Gold Tips as well. Started with a practice head and then tried the Slick Tricks. No difference on point ...

Welcome to the forum. The difference is more your personal preference and comfort. The only physical difference is the thumb hole stock. I just picked up a Phoenix for myself. It is plenty enough for my needs in a smaller / lighter bow. The moose hunt countdown is on. . . 34 days to go before we lea...

Great shooting. . . .

I wouldn't hesitate taking the Max on a moose hunt.

My brother took this moose with a carved tip exocet, 175 I think, in 2004.

Completed my draw entry.

They were more than willing to accept my $43.60.

Time will tell if successful in the draw.

Turkey help ---Loggers in the woods

The private farm I hunt has loggers moving in to clear trees.

It's been a tough season so far but hoping to not throw the towel in yet.

Will the work clear the turkeys out of the area or would opportunity still exist for early morning hunt?

Your thoughts.

Turkey hunting in the rain

There is about 1/2" of rain expected here through the night into Tuesday morning. I have a chance to get out a couple of hours before work in the morning. What are your experiences Turkey hunting in the rain? I'll be in a pop up blind so it won't really bother me. Is it worth it to get up at 4:...

Vortex / Equinox access to safety

Just a quick question to the new vortex / equinox owners

I had the opportunity to hold the new vortex and like the balance and feel of it.

My question,

Can you still reach the safety with your thumb, with the new thumbhole stock, to release without lifting your hand?

Bill & Kathy on Angler & Hunter

Was able to catch Angler & Hunter this morning for a Doe hunt with Bill and Kathy. Camera angle wasn't the best on the shots. Does show the importance of a good tracking job. They took you on a tour of the assembly plant here in Kitchener. Very interesting. A little while ago a member was trying...
