I used 145 gr heads for years but untill Slick comes out with a heaver head I have to use the 125's. Look at it this way. Climber or pre hung stands %100 , about the only time I will ground hunt is when I see a good buck as I am walking in or out and put a stalk on him. In the early years I would stalk and find a good tree I knew the deer was going to pass and using spikes I would climb up fast , sit on a limb and wait...

If you want the perfect flight I'd advise you switch to Lazar2's

but the slicks will fly better. I have used spitfires and they fly great but they done have the lasting strength the Slicks do.

I can tell you this. I introduced the Slick Trick to this forum a number of years ago when I 1st found this the 1st year Gary came out with them. And guys said I would like to try them now you have a good number of guys using them. I've hunted with a crossbow about 30 years now and they are the best...

I've yet to try and make my bows quieter, no deer will jump the string if you are patient and wait for the perfect opportunity to make the shop.

Tar Heel , my grandfather had a place in Arden Creek NC way back up against the Mt. Bears would run across the front field all the time. Didn't need a camera to know bears were there, We just knew.
