Some of my understanding from your replies: 1. hang-on type is better for private land hunting, since you can leave it there for a long time and don't have to reinstall it everytime. Easy to reuse. 2. climbing type is better for public land hunting, since you can easily and quietly set it up every t...

I have made couple of purchase from them not long ago. And they over charged me once. I emailed them about the problem, their response is fairly quick, however they think they didn't make a mistake at the first time. Finanlly they admitted their mistake and refound my money. They do make mistakes, b...

Thanks for your replies. Many different sucessful stories by both ways. I think either way, I will enjoy the hunting. One more question: If hunt on the ground, any way to prevent from losing bolts after a pass through? I know a treestand has an advantage to keep pass through bolts close.

is treestand a big help for cb hunting?

I am going to have my first hunting with cb this year. How important is treestand for cb hunting? Does it help a lot or I can leave without it? What's the pros and cons of it? I am still debating with whether to buy one of these. The price is not a big issue, but my concern is taking such a bulky th...

I saw that excalibur deluxe case in bowhuntersuperstore today too :) a good price compared with other places. I am searching for a case for my phoenix recently. Still thinking about whether a unlined one will be enough for me, since the price for a padded one is just too high for a case. I just need...

how to judge the target distance from a tree stand?

This question I think 99% of members here can answer it for me. Suppose I am on a treestand, a deer is on the ground in front of me. I aim at it through my scope on my cb. The question is shall I use the distance between the deer and the root of my tree(the horizontal distance), or the distance betw...

Does crossbow hit harder to the target than a compound?

I live in Arlington VA. I can't find a archery range to practise shooting my cb. Many archery ranges here in virginia don't allow crossbow shooting in their ranges. They said it will damage their targets. But I am quite confused with this statement, because: 1. many compounds shoot 310-320 fps, but ...
