Re: Vulture Culture (pics)
wish they would let us shoot the things but we cant touch them. The black head ones do a number on cattle and calving!!!! They will sit on the back of the cow and wait for the calf to come out. Nasty things

Re: Arrow Speed and Noise
string jump will depend on a number of things like from how alert the deer. I wouldnt reccomend the lightest possible arrow since its harder on the limbs, string life, and lacks some UMPH when it hits bone. I like keeping my setup in the 375-410grain range which isnt heavy by any standard but its no...

Re: Do crossbows shoot bolts or arrows?
i hear both terms used and it really doesnt matter which since we all know what they are referring to. Those that complain because someone calls it a bolt are bored and have nothing better to do with their time HAHAHAHA....
bolts or arrows... they fly straight and kill deer

Re: Dryfire mechanism
its nice to have the option... but one reason I like the excals is because of less moving parts that can break or etc. I have never been a fan of the dryfire prevention tools on bows. But this one seems a little different. Hopefully it works out well for all those whom try it. Goodluck

Re: Strong Deer (Deer that get away after a solid hit)
also keep in mind how far a deer can get in 3-10 seconds in a full all out death run! Even on a heart shot...
I think the T bone buck was shot slightly between the liver and lungs, right in that little slanted gap where it missed the vitals.

Re: Strong Deer (Deer that get away after a solid hit)
they use the G5 expandables since they sponsor their show so it wasnt a rage head btw LOL  But yes it opended and you can see one heck of a hole. He just missed all vitals by a inch or less. Perfect shot but just the luck of the deer that he was turned the right angle or something where it miss...

Re: Hunting Contests
most contests and shows are after the fact... people bring their deer to be scored and placed in a contest to see which one has bragging rights. All are trophys non the less. as for local big buck contests... again thats for fun and mainly luck on anyones behalf if they win. Hunting is 90% luck anyw...

Re: Rage broadheads
its tons of factors that effect pass through shots. I have my ml'er not get pass throughs at 7 yards LOL.
I dont think its the bhead but if you are concerned go back to the fixed heads. All hits I have seen on the rage heads have been massive though
