The 450 has worked well for me for the last 4 years. I take the battery out after hunting season. Yes it is 9v.

I have never had an arrow come loose of the older model Quiver. I still want a new one.

Re: Looking for a recommendation on quivers

I have the older Excalibur Quiver(has only single holder clips). I would like to have one of the newer ones but my motto is "If it ain't broke don't fix it". I have the one I use over 3 years and still works quite well. I mount it on my Ground Pounder Mount when going to and from my stands...

Re: SCORE!!!!

Sorry CB. I cannot lie. I have a 3 year old string that has been reserved once, did a season on an Exomax and on it's second season on my Exocet as well 100s of shots into targets. I have taken 10 deer with this string since I received it. I know what it will do every time I pull the trigger. It is ...

Re: using tinks miss november

I have had poor results with decoys for deer. I've had critters spooked by a decoy, but never did have anything come charging in. I have called & rattled deer in without a decoy, though. Last year was the first time I used a decoy. It was amusing to watch the posturing of both the bucks...

SCORE!!!!

Climbed into my one of my ladder stands at 5:00PM yesterday afternoon. At 5:35 I see movement in the bushes about 75 yards away. Slowly into field came a mature doe, 2, 1 year old young doe, and a fawn. It took 20 minutes for the big doe to meander into my comfort range. She stopped at 33 yards to f...

Re: How long can a fellow do this?

Add me to the old geezer list. I will be 68 next Wednesday. I am strictly a ladder stand hunter now. Most of the stands are buddy stands. I like the extra room to adjust when my body tells me. I usually hunt a minimum of 8hrs a day and if it is the rut longer.

Re: limb fatigue

I remember a post where one of the Excalibur team, at a outdoor show, left one of their bows in a enclosed trailer in hot weather with no damage.

Me too. Been shooting crossbows without a dry fire for many years. Can happen any day although I hope not soon.
I did almost join the Missing Toe Club while uncocking.
