World Championship Crossbow Shoot

Just an FYI for those that may have never seen this before. Here's a few photos of the practice round of the World Crossbow Shooting Association (WCSA) World Championship Shoot being held this week here in New Jersey. The shoot was all this week but I took these last Sunday. I was hoping to get back...

My 2 Cents

For what is worth....There is an entire segment of archery known as "flight shooting". Simply put it's a competition to see just how far a piece of archery equipment (long bow, recurve, compound, crossbow, hand held, and foot drawn) can shoot an arrow.... There are vert-bows (hand drawn an...

Excalibur DVD Catalogue

FYI--- I picked up a free copy of the Excal DVD Catalogue at Cabelas and watched it on my computer just a little bit ago... There are some great hunting shots (Bears and Deer) and lots of information about how Excals are built, lots of shots at Kitchener and of course the whole Excal lineup... Very ...

Signed with comment.... It's time for the emotional bias arguments to be put aside and let the facts speak for themself...X-bows are hunting tools, no better or no worst than the person using it....

Backpack Style Sling for X-bows- Part Deux

The search for a perfect sling continues...... I tried out the backpack sling that I bought on a quick hike yestersday and found that when placed on my back the sling rocked back and forth so much that it felt like it was wearing a groove in the center of my back.... There may be a way of securing i...

Backpack Style Sling for x-bow

You're right. I think the conventional quiver may be a problem (may be not), I'll have to try it on my Ten-Point, but on my Excal I have one of Groundpounders quiver bracket that centers the quiver above the rail. I think it would it really work best that setup or Dans bracket with the quiver above ...

Backpack Style Sling for X-bow

FYI- Here's a couple of company pics of a sling that I thought look interesting for x-bows... I bought it on E-bay but haven't hooked to my Exomax yet... The straps are padded and seem to be comfortable... I'll try it out when I go on a hike back in the woods today.... [img]http://s180.photobucket.c...
