This was a great topic and glad it came up. Last week I was in my stand and it started raining (lightly) and I wondered how my Phoenix was going to perform in case needed. Now I'm not even worried about snow flakes! Thanks guys.

If you have $1600 and want to purchase a new crossbow for this price have at it! I'm happy with my $400 Excalibur and a friend is happy with his $275 other name brand. We both took deer this weekend. Nothing against spending a lot of money for anything you want, but how much is too much?

I purchased my Phoenix new in July and already it's rusting on some of the set screws? This crossbow has never saw rain and sits outside it's case in a dry dehumidified provided basement where nothing ever rusts! I took some gun cleaning oil and scrubbed it off then wiped it dry to cut down on it's ...

1st deer ever today with a crossbow!

This morning I took my first deer using my new Phoenix purchased in July. Even though it was just a small button buck, it was still huge for me. Couldn't believe arrow went completely through the little guy and buried itself up to the nocking point into the ground. Deer only went another 50yds and l...

Great experience today. 1st time shooting new Phoenix

Today after 2 weeks of other projects I set up my new Phoenix. What a fantastic and enjoyable experience. I had never fired a crossbow until this afternoon. Out to 40yds this wonderful and accurate tool was making me shake my head with it's ease of use and accuracy. Am I this good of a shot I was as...

A thumbs up also for the Block Crossbow Target. The target dots are visible and easy to pick-up, bolts can be removed (field or broadheads) easily without much effort, and it's lightweight for easy transportation using the built on carrying handle.

New Owner: I'm Psyched!!

I just purchased a new Phoenix 175lb model, Excalibur the "right stuff" scoped accessory package, Excalibur padded carrying case, Excalibur sling, and a Field Logic crossbow Block target. Did some shopping around and did very well cost wise. I'm a first time crossbow buyer and have not sho...

Wow, can't believe the positive responses I'm receiving! Thanks guys/gals. My mind is made up that I will purchase a Excalibur Crossbow within a month. I just want to make sure I pick the right fitted sized bow for myself. A friend who owns a compound crossbow @150lbs stated that only 1 bolt over th...
