Perception is reality in the political world. The gov't had to be seen as doing something about the violence and blamed the guns instead of the pimps and drug dealers. then they turned around and kicked the hunters because they are an easier target. Registering a deer rifle in Saskatoon is going to ...

People look at the symptom and think they are seeing the problem. Yes there are shootings going on but the root cause is being ignored by the politicians. They are soft on drugs to the point where the light jail sentences and fines handed down are considered acceptable business risks. The real dange...

I have a product called Cotton Proof made by NIKWAX, a British outfit. You just wash your (already clean) clothes in this stuff and then tumble dry them in the dryer on low heat. I bought it in our local gun shop last year at the end of the season. I can't tell you how good it works 'cause I want to...

exotic escapee
I was fishing with a friend on Buck Lake near Huntsville Ont. At the end of the day when we left the boat launch we saw what appeared to be a male fallow deer. It had spots like a fawn only more so , and antlers like a caribou flattened and swept back. He looked to be in good shape. Fat and sassy. O...

Put 1 or 2 anchors into the ice before you set up your blind. Then, having already fastened pieces of stout cord to the corners while you were at home and warm, slip a loop over the anchor(s) as soon as the blind is set up. :) That way you don't need help holding on to your kite while you fasten it ...

It's -14C. here (-27C this morning) and I just saw 4 deer feeding on leftovers in a harvested corn field. They were on top of a rise and so they were getting full benefit of the wind. It didn't seem to bother them. I just wish I could see em like that when I go hunting. It was just after sundown, st...
