Hmmm.
very interesting, I can remember all the arguing on here about anti dry fire devices in the past and boy it got quite heated and insulting at times, everyone swore excal would never build a xbow with one if I rememer correctly even bill said it would not happen, and now can you believe it they have ...

Re: horrible feeling
I understand that you are just poking a little fun at my post but I am serious people have been attacked by bucks because they were wearing doe urine or doe in heat scents on themselves this is dangerous

Re: horrible feeling
xbowrook I noticed in your first post you said you covered your boots and body with doe urine! In my humble opinion that is something you should never do, unless you are up for a buck attacking you! This has been known to happen before. There are other cover scents available but you shouldn't use do...

crossbow revolution
I picked up a copy of a magazine called crossbow revolution over the weekend, it is put out by the Ohio Game & Fish mag. I would have to say probably the best crossbow friendly magazine I have seen. Also there was a good article in there called Ready for Dangerous Game written by Bill Troubridge...

Re: Invention Needed
I don't worry about the noise my xbow makes since the arrow is allready through the deer by the time he reacts to it so {to me} it is a waste of time trying to quiet it down. Our xbows shoot fast enough that it just don't matter, in my humble opinion.

Re: Spitfire Broadheads
I have been hunting with the spitfires for quite a while now. It seems that every year I see a couple of other broadheads that look and sound real good so I try them and I keep going back to the spitfires they shoot very acurately and penetrate great and make an awesome wound channel, so I no longer...

Re: VAP Arrows - Anyone Shoot One?
I saw those too on line. but not in person yet they do look interesting, I wonder if they will shoot any quicker with that design as compared to same weight arrow of a traditional style?

I would recommend shooting to recheck you sight in zero any time you change anything in your set up.

Re: range finding scopes for crossbows
a couple of years ago I saw a product called the dead on range finder it uses a bracketing method with colored fiber optic pins and you bracket the deer to range your deer, I thought it looked like it was worth a try, and on top of that it only cost something like 20 bucks may be a little more now, ...
