And you're right. It doesn't work much past mid-October, at least it doesn't around here. It does not tend to work much past mid - October as the does tend to push the fawns out for breeding. This is when they normally stop nursing and they just want - well you know. Good time to take a doe with a ...

In the evening I like to be in stand about 3 ish and out after legal shooting time. Welcome to the forum~! Cheers, Robin Really good point. I like getting in my stand early. T...

Sorry - I am sure this has been asked - I searched and did not see a great answer - so here are a couple of questions. I have an ExoMax - what string do you all recommend? I am not that concerned about the noise. Does it change the POI in comparison to the stock string? I don't want to spend much ti...

protein bars and fruit. I want to make it as natural as possible (to the area). Apples and pairs mainly. So many tree rats that me chewing on an apple is just a natural sound. I also believe it works as a cover sent (it makes me feel better so please don't tell me different). I stay away from orange...

I try to stay out about 4 hours. As said earlier I do look at the solar calender and make changes based on that as well. On Saturday I thought 9:30 10 AM after I had been on stand since 6 AM was good. Lowered my pack and bow and was about to get down from my climber. Just then 5 does and fawns came ...

http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp237/fishnbugdude/IMG_0222.jpg It was about 9:30 AM - I thought I was done (had been in my Lone Wolf climber since 6AM. Lowered the bow and pack when 5 fawns and does came by me at about 25 yards. I watched them go behind me down wind and into the water. Got the ...

Welcome to the forum. I think you'll find the Slicks perform well on game, too. Well you were right. Got a doe at about 5 yards so a butter knife would likely have done the same job - but it was a quick retrieve (about 45 yards). It was about 9:30AM - I had been in the stand since 6 so I figured th...

It really depends where you are going to hang the TV (or put). If there is a lot of light go with the LCD if there is not go with the plasma. If you go and and look at the TVs I am sure you will see the colour, quick action and picture in general is much better on a plasma then on the LCD. The probl...

Was able to get out - no rain in my neck of Ontario. Got in my climber for about 6 AM. Slow until 9:30 then had 4 does and 1 fawn come in. Best shot was 55-60 yards broad side (one doe did come in to 45 but no vitals shown). Way to early to even think of taking a shot like that for me - very comfort...

Thanks Excalibur Forum
Just wanted to say thanks for the great info. Was at the Grand River Trout Fitters Excalibur day in Fergus. Was told about the forum and decided to give a look. Was having mild grouping problems with my broadheads (WASP Hammer 100G) and wanted to change - but to what - I had no idea. After looking o...
