Re: dryfire Assassin
But if the string is already all the way back how would you use the stringer? But I'm okay now anyway, thank you.

Re: dryfire Assassin
Well, sometimes it does pay to think. I just did as if I were uncocking after hunting and all is well. Senior moment?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: dryfire Assassin
That is a no go as I can not get it back far enough to reset the trigger.

dryfire Assassin
Might be a dumb question but after a dry fire, how does one go about uncocking the bow?

Re: range finder
Not under warranty. Early, mourning mist does sound possible. Have checked battery as that was my first suspicion. I'm still stumped. Have had this one many years and just put up with it. Think I'm ready to try a new one and will base that decision on these posts you guys are making. Believe me when...

Re: range finder
So it sounds like nobody else has a problem like this. Seems strange. But it is frustrating having a bick come from different direction; try to get a reading for yardage and won't read. Move to a tree and same thing. THat's when one goes back to estimating so why even take a range finder? I've had t...

range finder
I've had a couple but want another. Main problem is finding distance to a deer or a tree. So many times it just will not work.
At present I have a Nikon aculon. I like it until I try to range some things and get no readout.
Suggestions?

Re: Fawn Sighting
For sure we've seen many fawns this year, as always. The best part is that at least 3 have been born right in our yard. The closest one to the house was 10 feet. Yes, we feel blessed. However, this is not something new as we've had several fawns born in our yard through the years.

Re: One reason I own a Excalibur
I had to laugh at a neighbor who thought maybe the Excalibur was okay but still bought another crossbow; compound. Had warranty work done 3 times and finally gave up. Thought about Excalibur but had to have "the best" so he bought a Ten Point. That lasted either one or two years and now he...

Not heard of many shot yet around here nor have I heard any official reports.
I did hear this morning that the lawmakers want to bring back baiting before gun season starts.
