My dad and I run a waterfowl guiding business, and most of the true waterfowlers lend a hand when setting up decoys etc. Even though they are paying us to do the work, most insist that its all part of the hunt, and thats the experience they are looking for. Some guys are happy to sit in the truck an...

He hasn't been out yet. He just got back from sask. and has been busy with the birds around here. He had a lot of clients with itchy triggerfingers waiting for him when he got home. Beautiful bow though, must weigh half of what mine does.

I was in a tree stand......18ft up. We looked for 30min for the arrow 20-30yrds all around. My cousin watched him after I shot, for 2-3min standing behind a tree, but couldn't get a shot himself. He unfotunatly couldn't see the side of the deer that I shot at. He could see the opposite side, no bloo...

Finally had a chance at my first x-bow deer this morning. Only in the stand for an hour, when a small buck appeared on the trail. I passed up a lot of deer last year, waiting for the big one and came up empty at the end of the bow season. I wasn't going to let that happen again this year. He got to ...

I always have used a P.S. OLT model A-50. I called in competition for several years with this call and always did well. To be honest with you, I am not even sure if they still sell this call, but it is one of the best sounding calls I have ever had. Might be worth trying to find one. This one is abo...

Took my two year old daughter out for her first duck hunt! We were at Cabela's in Pennsylvania over the weekend and got her her first hunting outfit... By the way, if you ever have the chance to hit a Cabela's...don't pass it by. I spent 3 hours in there and still didn't see the whole store! http://...

Gun Registry!

I am not sure if anyone has posted this on here yet, but us law abiding gun (and bow) owners need to stick together! If you haven’t already signed the petition to scrap the gun registry here is the website.... www.scrapthelonggunregistry.com I know these things don't usually make a huge difference, ...

Only bird of the season!

Headed out with my dad last Saturday morning, despite the bad weather. Decided we would set up a pop up blind to stay dry for the morning. Arrived 30min before sunrise, but still managed to bust a bird from roost when putting out the decoy. Turns out we were in the right spot that morning. Within 10...

Got hit last week

Just recently bought my first bow from a forum member, a couple of months ago. Also bought a new stand to go along with it. Managed to get 2 hunts out of it before it was stolen a week ago. I hunt on 1000 acres of private property, and I am the only one with permission to be there. Apparently nothin...
