Re: I am waiting for you

Mike - we were near Parry Sound at Killbear  (in the Blind Bay section). That's a great park! I'm heading there Thanksgiving Weekend! No bears at that time of year (the ranger tells us that is smells like bacon and egg heaven there right now.....thus the bears)! Tons of deer! We saw 14 deer ov...

Re: I am waiting for you

Ohh.....I know! But the MNR also says that the bear populations aren't changing at all, so we all must be wrong and there couldn't possibly be bears this far south, eh? My post was supposed to be tongue in cheek. One a couple of years ago in New Dundee and another one this spring in south Cambridge ...

Re: I am waiting for you

I'd get to break in my Equinox!!!!!!

And I'd have to call the authorities because there aren't supposed to be bears this far south!

Couple of Newbie Questions

OK, Getting geared up for October 1st when I'll be sitting a stand and waiting for a deer to wander by. Assuming everything is done in legal light. Walking into the stand in mid-afternoon, do you have the bow cocked and an arrow in? Any chance it could slide away from the end a little and cause prob...

Re: scope adjustment

Something wrong with your scope then. Went out today and set up my Varizone. The Up adjustment on the top and the L/R adjustment on the side (the right side to be specific). Fine tuned it in about 18 shots. Have to say, the Block Target: http://www.jharastore.com/images/FIELD%20LOGIC/BLOCK%2050100%2...

Re: Cold Weather Socks?

Actually I find the carbon activated foot warmers can't do it much at all. It will extend your time in the stand but they don't seem to last anywhere near as long as the handwarmers do. I've been looking at these things you put over your boots....the name escapes me right now.. ***edit*** Arctic Shi...

Re: Lost dog found after 4 yrs

Wow! What an amazing story! We lost our dog for three days one time and had given up looking for her altogether. She ran away from a camp during a thunderstorm about 12 miles north of Thessalon and was actually picked up five days later by a couple driving east on Highway 17 near Bruce Mines. The gi...
