Scope Covers in the Rain?
Been out last night and this morning. Hang my crossbow from the hanger and the front end of the scope looks up to the sky.
What do you guys do in the rain? Scope covers or it really doesn't make a difference?

Re: Handling a cocked Xbow question
Walking out to the stand in daylight I can't begin to say how many time I've wanted to hold the crossbow the same way.
But, my fingers are way too important to me and I've always resisted the urge.

Re: Lost my dogs!
Actually, I lost my dog at the very same cabin mentioned above in 2003. We were off visiting some friends and my brother in law was at the camp with our dog. A big thunderstorm struck and instead of running to the camp, she ran into the woods. This was on a Thursday and we were leaving for home on t...

Re: Lost my dogs!
That's where a tracking collar can come in handy. We were up in Northern Ontario once in a remote (kinda) area north of Thessalon and Bruce Mines. A dog showed up at the camp and hung around with us (a beagle too by the way). After a while a truck pulls up and a guy says, "You've got my dog?&qu...

Re: Quiver on bow or not?
I'd recommend the groundpounder or munch mount too only because it balances the bow better than that side mount.
I have the GP but take it off once in the stand as well.

Re: OT - dog training collars
I'd have to look at what one I have, but it has a warning beep and then the shocking levels. Never used the shocking yet....the beep gets immediate reaction. (long story, but she had on an automatic shocking collar aimed at stopping barking. It beeped first but then started shocking in increasing in...

Re: Last ride for an old friend
Mine was 15 years old and had a stroke in February 09 and managed to get it together while at the vet. She lasted until the next Christmas when I took her to the vet and he said her time had come.
It was a difficult day to say the least.
My condolences.
