Michael
With that attitude you'll never get a chance. HAVE CONFIDENCE MAN!!! I've seen you shoot so I know you can do your part at the moment of truth. Remember your young, there's plenty of time to kill a big one.

Re: Just got him home

Thanks for all the kind words and I'm glad everyone likes the look of him. Enormous I got him close to there. Vixchick, I wish I could take full credit for the weathered barn idea but I borrowed that from our own Unclefester. bcmuledeer, he is alert, just the way he was before I shot him. GaryM, I g...

Just got him home

I just got my mount back of the 12 pointer I shot last fall. I think the taxidermist did a great job. He officially scored 165 4/8 gross and 162 1/8 net typical. Almost perfect!! Best place to buy carbon shafts

Just wondering the best place to buy carbon (gt2 or beamon) shafts precut to 22 inches. I want to build them from scratch.

Re: Oxford County Monster Down

Thanks for all the kind replies. It sure was exciting. Not that it really matters at this point but his initial measurements were wrong and after remeasuring him a couple of times he is approximately 164 inches gross and 160 net. Will have to wait a couple of months for him to dry though. Can't wait...

Oxford County Monster Down

Shot this beauty opening morning of Shotgun. He came in to 25 yards to a mouth call (thanks Greenhorn). He is awesome!! He is almost perfect and scored unofficially at 154 1/4 Gross and 150 net. He is a mainframe 12 with two 3/4 inch kickers coming out of his right base. Lots of character to his G2'...
