Shaft Sizes?

This may be a dumb question, but what determine the shaft size that we can use in the Excaliburs. I know that the 22's are the recommended size, but what determines this. Is it the width of the slot and if so, could something like shims be put in the slot so that some of the new Slim Shafts could be...

Glue

Have to agree with Tye, Tims "Goat Tuff" or Tims High Preformance Goat Tuff are the greatest. The High Preformance takes about 15 seconds to dry, and the fletch "WON'T" come off until you shave them off.

Deer Size

I don't know about the size of the deer down in the SE U.S., but up here in WA. I don't think i have seen a Mulie Buck under 200 in many a year, i will grant you that our Blacktails run a bit smaller, but not a heck of alot.
And then again most of our interest is in our Big Roosevelt Elk.

Gold Tip Insert other than brass

are there any other inserts that will work with Gold Tips besides the 90 grain brass insert. I would like to use an aluminum insert and adjust the weight to achieve the 350 grain minimum with either a weight adjustable insert or weight rings behind the broadhead. Anybody got any ideas.
Thanks
