Re: New cooler

I have used the Coleman Ultimate extreme 6 day coolers with great results - even on the hottest days. below are tips from the Coleman website - take note of the last one. As long as your food packaging is water tight keeping the water in the cooler makes a huge difference! Packing a cooler to maximi...

Re: cross border travel

Hey Gundog, I cross into the states twice a year with my crossbow. Yes, you do have to declare all firearms as soon as you pass over your passport - there is a sign saying so at each crossing. The guards do not take kindly if you happen to forget to tell them you are carrying a firearm and they find...

Re: 2010 archery moose trip

Well, well, well. An intersting thread. As with all text based messages, it is easy to read too much or too little into them - at least the emoticons help! I was bow hunting moose in Thunder's neck of the woods (NW of T Bay) in September for a couple of weeks and observed some action that might be w...

Re: did the green horn thing ,,

My mantra...
"cock, lock and load"
I say it every time I reach for the cocking aid - sometimes even out loud - get some weird looks but it works.

Yes, in fact 1st choice was Bull and 2nd choice was Cow but the phone message only said "you have been successful in the draw...". However the question has been answered - Cow tag in the mail today. Oh well...cow tag three years in a row is better than nothing.

Gosh Thunder...
What a thing to say! You know how partial I am to cats.
I really don't think they use cats anyway...there is no fur on my snowshoes.

My issue is no sightings. I hunt on the edge of London near the 402 and had my eye on a flock of 35 birds. When they broke up just before the season they all dissappeared - totally. I have scouted the whole property several times with only one or two tracks showing up on the creek bank. I have check...

Brother just called from Thunder Bay and he got a cow tag - that makes 2 cow tags for the 2 of us for 15B - too bad one of them wasn't a bull tag then we would have all the bases covered - oh well.
schnarrfuss, what area of 15B do you hunt in?

schnarrfuss, we hunt mostly east of the Graham area - when I called in and got the "you were successful" notification I thought I got a bull tag but I got a cow tag in the mail today (second choice) so just a small change in strategy
