The guns are called Romulus and Remus... now thats catchy 8) :D OK this is why the names. In 1966 my father who is old style Italian, didn't have enough denero to buy me a Browning A-5 for Christmas...So I had to settle (as if I was doing without) for a nice modle 1100 Remington. That gun today loo...

Rocco nails possible crossbow record
I was watching Spirit of the Wild this week, when Rocco Nugent, 16 year old son of Ted and Shamane Nugent started putting together his trusty Excalibur crossbow while on safari in South Africa. That did it, my eyes were glued to the screen. Finally a teenage crossbow hunter, fully capable to use any...

The Quest and the Quarry
I have always been a fan of the great outdoor writer Robert Ruark. This was instilled upon me by my mother who read to me the Old Man and the Boy at a very early age. Mom was a writer herself and actully knew Robert Ruark who recomended the book...well something happened years later. Last week in th...

I'm a real dove hunting fanatic, Increasing my efforts while losing sight of my goals. To prove this I just had two Browning A-5s 12 and 20 custom restored and built to my specifications...Id say that's dove fanatic enough. The guns are called Romulus and Remus... Now that I have read the ariticle, Ms Paula is not so bad, she just doesn't like poachers. As far as the crossbow bolt, it is insigificant as it could have been an arrow or a bullet. In my 20 years in the Army as a Military Policeman, being the outdoor guy with some stripes meant I was in charge of ...

Most poachers use a 22, at least the ones out for more than one Joy Kill. If its real it may be safely ignored. Sounds more like the North American Bowhunters Col. trying their new stuff they learned from their allies..PETA. Only an Idiot would poach a deer, and even more of an idiot would use a cro...

After inventing the shooting sport Top Gun Challenge (The squirrel rifle championship of the world) I tried my had at a few imposible target with a 22. John: That was a good read! Thanks for fighting the "good fight". As you know, La. has a permit system for handi-capped. I have friends that have 380 acres of property strictly set-up for deer hunting, lots of food plots and about 25 stands. In order for me to take them up on their offer ...

I was wondering the same thing about the Gilitine heads but I know one broad head that will kill anything....that would be the Magnus Stinger. Of course Ted Nugent has actully killed every thing with a stinger. But the greatest bowshot I ever saw was at the time 13 year old Kade Jones of Leesville L...

HOT Pro Crossbow Articles and information
Being an outdoor writer for both Gun and Bow hunting magazines, what I like to do is write about myself or a buddy and preferably a kid, getting a big buck. If I can I will make a hero out of them, and doing so it will make who ever reads the article want to go hunting too. That has been put on hold...
