Re: CBSA Enforcing Folding Knife Ban

This is nothing new. The whole issue regarding "centrifugal" knives started with a Canadian International Trade Tribunal decision back in 2018. There was a third party challenge forcing the CBSA to define what a centrifugal knife is and this was the result (lesson learned? Be careful what ...

Re: The sky is not falling

What's with all the negativity? I find my life is much better thinking in a positive manner and with an open mind. Too many years of working for large corporations has definitely made me cynical. I worked for General Electric for 17 years. When they first bought us I was in a meeting with some high...

I"ll keep my hardhat on too. Thirty two years working in the manufacturing side of the corporate world I can assure you Capital firm's first mission is to cut and gut. Those who survive will be expected to show "continuous improvement" in order to increase profit margin. In my humble ...

Yup, that was probably RJ. He's not on the forum anymore but I'm still in touch with him regularly. You're not going to have much luck contacting him now as he's up in the Yukon for several months living the dream and has sporadic internet access.

You learn a lot more about hunting from the ones you don't get than the ones you do.

Re: Thinking about buying a smoker

I use a Bradley. It uses the pucks via an auto feeder, pretty much set it and forget it. Also have a 4 channel temperature monitor that I can tie into with my phone via bluetooth. No more running outside to check cabinet and meat temperatures.

Re: Excalibur Phoenix Owners

Been shooting a Phoenix since 2006. It's the only crossbow I've ever owned and I really have no desire to replace it. To me it's the perfect bow, easy to cock 40 times in a day at a 3D shoot, balances well and I've never been a speed demon. It's on it's second set of limbs, had a splinter in one of ...

Re: What's the value? (Exocett 200)

Great to see you on here again, I still have one of your quiver mounts. :-) As for your bow, while I'm still a huge fan of the Exo series bows I do have to admit their value on the market has dropped considerably. Last time I was in The Bow Shop (about 2 years ago) all the old Exo bows in their used...

Re: Who Misses The Old Bows

I don't really miss the old wide bows. Lol Me neither Jeff I cant say I missed them either. I've tuned up three last fall for friends, one shot a moose the week after. I get the nostalgia. But it's not enough for me to want to carry one, or even shoot them for that matter. But I feel that way about...
