Man, I wish I was one of you guys. My exocet and right stuff package cost me just over $900. I seem to have an incredible nack of making big purchases the year before a new model comes out that blows mine out of the water. It happened with the knight I bought last year. I hope it doesn't happen with...

I'm from Virginia too. Northern virginia where there are way too many people, both northeners and southerners all mixed up becuase we are just south of the most evil and corrupt city in the nation (DC). We have good hunting if you can find somewhere to go, but it looks like we are SOL for doves this...

Great post Woody, I agree that it is worth it if one person is helped. I am thinking of printing it out and carrying it with my gear. I know how worked up one can get during the excitement of hitting a deer, especialy if it is a monster buck. And if you are on your own, than there is even more of a ...

Crazy farmer, I know what you mean about freaking out. Dove is one of my favorite seasons. Mainly because it has been so long since the last (spring turkey) but also because dove is not so solitary and long as other seasons like deer. I love baking in a cornfield and hanging out with friends and fam...

Bstout, You said I will not kill a deer that isn't 100% alert and acting normal. I basicaly know nothing about CWD but I would think that you should shoot deer acting abnormal. Then take them somewhere for testing, leave them, or bury them, or something as long as you don't eat them. Wouldn't it hel...

I use the Scent Blocker 3D Real Leaf suit and before that I had their leafy lite suit. It works great. It is expensive but it lasts a long time as long as you are carefull of snaging it on brush. Plus it has a removable carbon liner so you can go without it when it's realy hot out or when you arn't ...

Kendo Kid, Thanks for the link. I am sure about the path of the arrow. It never made it inside the rib cage. I just assumed it had hit an artery or vein because of the amount of blood the buck was leaving behind. The bleeding did slow after about a hundred yards though wich I guess would be a sign t...

I also think it is ok to hunt a water hole. The animals don't have to use it but they will at some time. Who is to say you will be there at that time. Plus water holes are attracting to many kinds of game especialy in places like africa where water is limited. So it could actualy be harder to be suc...

When I was young I was out hunting one day with my first bow. I was using fixed wasp three blades which I have come to rely on over the years. I had a buck under my stand about seven feet away from the tree. I drew and shot and the buck ran off. I exited my stand and retrieved my arrow. It didn't lo...

Yes he is a pieball. It has a light brown patch on it's cheek and brown ears. I have seen some pieballs before, even shot a pieballed 7 point but I have never seen one with so much white. It's close to albino.

mystery deer pics

My father owns 20 acres in Shenandoha close to where the VA state record was shot. Over the last three weeks, guests to his cabbin have been spotting a small white animal in the woods. No one could figure out what it was but the common belief was that it was a cat. My dad saw it this weekend though ...

exotics

I love hunting so I am sure I would realy enjoy hunting exotics. I would have to have some rules to do it though. 1. I would have to hunt the animal on it's own turf and in it's own country. Not on some exotic game ranch in texas or anything like that. 2. I would have to hunt alone or with friends. ...
