Re: lost my deer call.......

I feel your pain. I just realized that I've "misplaced" my Leatherman (a Skeletool CX) :( , that I've carried daily for probably 2 years. I really hope it turns up.

Re: Ground blinds or tree stands???

I think it all comes down to the terrain that you'll be hunting on. My usual haunts are fairly thick brush and lots of skinny trees, so I've had the most success just sitting on a plain 'ole Canadian Tire camp chair in a small clearing.

Just make sure your standing back enough from your laundry-room window frame so you dont clip the limbs.

Re: 3D Shoot Saturday July 28 Elmira Rod & Gun

The shoot was great - Elmira has a very nice bush course set up. TPM is was great seeing/shooting with you again.

Hopefully more Excal Forum folks can make it out to WCBowmen on Aug 11th.

Re: Recommend Rangefinder

I just picked up the Bushnell Chuck Adams edition, and I'm pretty happy with it. I took it out to the range and tested it at various known yardages from 7 out to 60yds. It was dead-bang on every time, sighting against a "soft" target bag. The ARC works very well as long as you're under 100...

Re: vertical bow guys hating on crossbows

Well I can tell you that this vertical bow guy doesn't hate one bit on crossbows! In fact, my first hunting bow was an Excalibur Phoenix. It just happened to be that the crossbow didn't fit my hunting style. I sold the Phoenix and tried a vertical, so now I'm hooked. The thing is, I know a day will ...

Re: Factory Tour

If it gets to be too many people to fit in one tour, we will gladly wait until next time. I know folks are coming from out of town for Boofest, and it's only right that they have first shot at the tour. We live in KW, so it's easier for us to reschedule!

Re: Factory Tour

C'mon one come all is my take on it, are they going to Boofest too? reason I ask is I still have time to get my son carded up and we'll have room for him in the truck. So would you be three or four w/ mom? Great! It will be 4 (mom wants in) for the tour as long as you have the room. We won't be mak...

Re: Factory Tour

Is it okay to bring my boys, ages 5 and 8? They just got a tour of the Argo plant in New Hamburg, and a tour of the Excalibur factory would be perfect!

(Ontario) Youth Outdoors Day - Sept 15, 2012

For those of us with kids in the 9-16 year range, this looks to be a good opportunity at the Luther Marsh: http://youthoutdoorsday.com/ "Youth Outdoors Day is an annual event designed to introduce kids ages 9 - 16, to the Great Outdoors with fun activities and interactive learning stations. Eve...

Re: Oxford 3D shoot this Sunday (June 17)

Basspro sounds tempting! It's unfortunate that two back-to-back 3D shoots (WCBowmen and now Oxford) have been rained out.
