Thanks for all the congrats and well wishes. Sure was a rush, hopefully can follow it up with a nice xbow buck. Not sure which broadheads I have, I think they are 100 gm Montec, but I'll have to check. I know it did a great job for me except that the 3 blades got all torn up, but then again I'll tak...

First Ever Archery Deer

So last Tuesday the wind was finally right to go to a stand that we had seen a nice big bodied buck from a distance a few times. The last time I hunted the stand the big boy walked inside the fence line and presented no shot. So Tuesday I was ready in the home made box stand with the crossbow aimed ...

Maple good on you. I will have to sign up to. Just make sure that if you are responding through there links that you make it very clear that you are pro-hunting in the subject line . Reason is they might just clump your letter with the rest of the freaks without reading it. Amazing how they twist th...

Pyd, I grew up with many beagles. My grandfather and uncle would typically have 3-5 around at any time and they were strickly rabbit hunting machines. No letting these guys go unless you planned on waiting around until they ran themselves tired. At home they were kept in a fenced in area and dog hou...

Great post and very informative. Thanks for sharing some of your strategies.

For the guys in Ontario, this will work better in a month or so when most of the snow is gone, although this thaw we are having could get us out earlier.

Similar to the nose hair freezing, I like to call this weather 'snot freezing weather'. You'll know right away if you should have blown your nose before you stepped outside.

Huntman,

Anytime, no problem. Climbers are great for mobility and are easy enough to use once you get used to them

huntman,

I have a climber that you can borrow and play around with along with the safety harness. It's up in the woods right now but will have it back soon. Call me and you can use it to see if you like it.

I would recommend just placing an order with Don for a Boo String. You'll get the best string around, end of story.

Huntman congrats on a great bow buck. I think you're holding those antlers too high though, I heard that deer had a 32" inside spread (well atleast you can pick what inside spread you wanted). Congrats, I'm very happy for you.
