I remember watching a show where the local deer population would go down to the beach when tide went out and eat tiny fish caught out in tidal pools. Can't remember where it was though.

I have and use a .243 does what i ask of it. I also hunt with a 300 win mag and a 338 win mag I mounted limbsaver recoil pads on both and it really tamed the recoil. Might want to look into one of these for yor 270.

Great looking buck. I learned alot from this story mainly if crazy is showing pics of nice bucks that means I should head straight for his place to hunt the big one he's not posting pics of. Long drive but might have to try it. :wink:

It is important that once you find a spot that you and your bow can agree on that you maintain that spot.
I agree with Pydpiper. My bow and I agree that we have not seen any animals that I could legally shoot this hunting season.

Me too works great. Only time not so good when using it at longer gun hunting distance in foggy raining conditions.

We have a lot of public hunting land but that's pretty much crawling with people, not my idea of hunting
Guess we are lucky up here as you can still get away in public hunting land and not see anyone for days at a time.

Whitetail bucks will breed with mulie doe's not as common for mulie bucks to breed whitetail doe's There have been a few crossbreeds harvested around here. I remember reading a article about a study done but can't remember what mag it was in.
