Re: At what point is a bow "too fast"?
From the RCMP website FAQ http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/faq/index-eng.htm#a4 Q. Do the licensing and registration requirements apply to bows? Crossbows that can be aimed and fired with one hand and crossbows with an overall length of 500 mm (about 19.68 inches) or less are prohibited. You canno...

Re: Shoot for the Cure
Wow, There is a limit on how many shooters? I'm in, practising in my tinshop with my space age looking compound. Hard getting used to a bow scope. All for fun, looking forward to it. There will be only so many guys/gals they can get through with the time allowed. I'm sure more donations are very we...

Re: Easton Axis arrows
Would this be something like small rubber O-rings on the front and back of the shaft to raise it up slightly?

Re: OT Computer monitor
Have you tried hitting "Ctrl" and "+" to make things bigger when you need them? Keep the resolution higher and use Ctrl + and Ctrl - as necessary
You can also change the Windows font sizes to large or extra large.

Re: Which arrows for Hoyt Gamemaster
An over-stiff arrow will wobble and bounce off the rest, probably impact left of where you're aiming, and tend to wear out the rest or rest plate quickly. A 400 will be way stiff unless you have it 29-30" long with a heavy point. Try a 500 spine at 28" with 125 up front. If you're consider...

Anyone use their Excalibur for bowfishing? I'd like to see pics or read descriptions of your rigs.

Re: Fuzion vanes
You guys should try the 3" Fusions - they look awesome on a crossbow arrow. A slightly lower profile than the 2", for those concerned with rail clearance. There are on a regular arrow, but it's the same diameter as a 22 series crossbow arrow. I did up a few Firebolts with these but left th...

Re: Cool trick
You can have the patent because you for posted it first, :) but I made one several years ago at the store. Laser boresighter stuck inside a piece of arrow shaft, then placed on the rail under the string. On an Excalibur, just align the crosshairs so the laser dot is just above the top chevron, and t...

Re: registering a firearm in Ontario after hours
It can be done on-line by a dealer, but not by a private citizen. How to transfer a firearm Online Transfers The CFP’s online services can be used to transfer a firearm to or from a licensed business. The business would initiate the transfer, and the person acquiring the firearm would have to be at ...

Re: How many did something like this?
I recall a day in my youth when I bought a store's entire supply of book matches...You'd think a clerk would wonder what a 12 year old would need 25 boxes of 50 books of matches for, but no. 30,000 match heads packed together are a lot nastier than you'd think. This was not something I did for a sec...

Re: making a adapter for fletching bolts
I made some from old style Gold Tip nocks. They used to make these with a small 6-32 threaded hole down the center, and that had a set screw you could tighten down to spread the insert part of the nock to lock it into place. I cut off the insert part of the nock and ran an 8-32 tap through the hole,...
