Re: QUESTIONS FROM A NEWGUY
Don, Boo answered your question about the parallex. I agree with him about the sights that come with an excal bow. Scope is better (depending on your eyes and on the light). I have used a red dot without any problems altho have now gone to a Hawk scope. I liked the red dots because they are small an...

Re: introduction and question.H
Welcome,
I have a 200 lb vortex, a 150 lb Vixen, and did have a 175 lb. exocet. I should never have sold the 175 lb bow. If I was to have one bow only it would be a 175 lb draw. It is easier to cock and easier on strings. Lots of power for deer and even moose.

Re: I'm in the club
The arrow absorbs the energy created by the string moving forward as it is released. If there is no arrow, the energy is transferred to the limbs. It is possible to break the limbs this way. Excals are very good for withstanding that shock. The dryfire is common especially to folks just starting (bu...

Re: Roger's Knife
I'm the "roger" in "Roger's Knife". I asked Darrel to post the picture because I'm technically challenged and find it impossible to post pictures. It is a beautiful knife and I am very pleased with it. This is the second knife I have ordered from da griz - the first was a present...

Darrell, welcome back and looking forward to pictures of your handiwork. My brother loved the knive that you made for me as a gift to him. There will always be people who agitate and make hurtful remarks. They are the minority, especially on this forum. You just have to consider the source and not b...

There are folks from all over north america (and offshore as well) that come to this forum. Many of you will use or know expressions that are peculiar to your area and chances are nobody else will use them. For example, I knew an older gentleman in the Gatineau hills (north of Ottawa, Ontario, on th...

tree saddle
Anyone here ever use the trophy line tree saddle ? I have watched a couple of videos and two things strike me. Firstly, I'm not sure it is designed with crossbows in mind. Secondly, I cannot see how it would be comfortable for any length of time. Seems to me that your legs would tire. Any thoughts ?...

GPS
I'm thinking of getting a new GPS. Currently have an old Magellan about 12 years old. I looked at the Garmin web site and saw the Etrex 10 & Etrex 20. Does anyone have either of these and are you happy ? Also, I'm not entirely clear what the difference is between the two models. Thanks. Spike
