Red hot inserts

I have seen the new red hot inserts for, I think, carbon express bolts at a local store. I would like to add some FOC to my Excalibur carbon bolts. I can't recall for sure who makes the Excalibur bolts, but I think they are Easton. I am wondering if the Red hot inserts will fit them. Anyone know for...

Thanks for all the input. I will give it a try this weekend and see if I can get a couple out. Sounds like gold tips are the way to go if I was getting new arrows. I have read that the easton shaft is typically stronger and better quality than the gold tip for arrow shafts. I don't know about bolts,...

Thanks for the info. That is too bad you can't get the slack out of it. It has gotten smoother, but still has all the creep trying to get up to the break. For short range hunting shots it is probably not a big deal, but it is kind of hard to get used to it for longer range off hand shooting when eve...

Removing inserts from fire bolts

What kind of glue is used for Excalibur fire bolts, aka Eason G2? Can you get it out with heat? I want to change my inserts to brass. I know some of the glues even if not a heat type glue will break down with heat. I have also had some luck knocking them out with a drill bit whipped down the shaft i...

Trigger?

My trigger has a lot of creep in it. Is this normal? Can it be adjusted?

Thanks something in the 50-75 range would work fine for me. I want to shoot 100-125 BH's and have about 150-200 up front. I looked on the 10-point site and could not find them. I sent them an e-mail.

Are these the only option for brass inserts for Easton bolts? I would like them a little lighter. How long are they and do they have sufficient extra length to cut down some?

With the Excalibur I assume there are a very narrow number of options. Nope! There are a whole bunch of different arrow/insert combination's that'll work great. Make sure your arrows weigh enough. I would think with so few variables to the xbow from one to the other of the same weight and one shoot...

It cracks me up when someones shooting arrows meant for a Vixen out of an Exomax, and can't understand why their arrows won't group well except with target tips. Their next move is to try and find hunting heads that fly like target tips. :D Use an arrow combination that's matched to the bow and alm...

Thanks for the info. I shoot a compound and trad bows, but the xbow is a newer thing. I have 2216's 20" with three 4" vanes that came with my Phoenix. I also got some Excalibur Firebolts, but there didn't seem to be any spine options for them. I should have thought of that, but I guess I f...

bolt weight

I have the alum. bolts that came with my Phoenix and some Excalibur carbon bolts. I want to work on hunting bolt weight and FOC, but I am not sure on the weights of the ones I have. What are the weights of these bolts? What is everyone finding they like for bolt weight for best all around performanc...

I will go with my favorite broad head the three blade muzzy 100 for a start. The arrow will be over the minimum weight. I will look at a new string after the first of the year when Boo slows down. I like quiet more than speed when I have to choose so I will probably look at the STS. Thanks for the i...
