Woody: Thanks for the post. I had wondered about how Chase was doing- looks better than I had hoped! Our prayers were answered. That activity was one of the high points in the history of this website, in my opinion. We need to be ready when another call comes in. Striper

As you may know, magnifying scopes are illegal in Alabama. I have been told that the red dot scopes, which are legal here, do not do well in low light situations. As I really dislike the peep sight that comes standard with my Exocet, I need to find some alternative. I am afraid to take the red dot j...

I tried out the new decocking method using the cocking aid this weekend and it worked like a charm with my Exocet although I am crippled in one arm and almost 70 YOA. My hunting partner, overweight and out of shape, uses this method on an Exomax, and has absolutely no problem with the 225# draw. He ...

WABI: Oops, after 4 years with a crossbow, you have taught me something. Which broadheads need washers? Hopefully not NAP Spitfires since that is what I use.Striper

Adam: please explain why you want to weight your broadheads? Especially why just before season begins? Why not go to a heavier broadhead? You really need to target test any modifications you make on your bolts. Maybe I don't understand the question, but if you are hitting where you are aiming, why s...

DesertRat hit it on the head. Get the bolt there fast! I shoot a 385 grain bolt -broadhead combination on my Exocet (395 FPS) and have not had one jump the string. I DO limit myself to about 30 yards max shot distance. Striper

I use a Summit climber and rest the broadhead end of my Exocet on the padded front rail and rest the butt on my lap. I can raise the bow into firing position with little effort and no noise. Striper

WABI: We all like to end a story with a quick clean kill, but like the rest of REAL life, things don't always end that way. Thanks for a well written report. For you, I wish you could have found him sooner. Striper
