Photos from December, 2007 Texas deer hunt

Jeannie and I took a trip to near Eldorado, Texas last December to hunt Texas whitetails with Mesquite River Outfitters. MaxZone Scope Assembly for sale

After 35 years of bow hunting from a tree stand, I have finally concluded that it is time to admit that I am too old to shinny up trees in 80 degree weather dragging Summit tree stands behind me. I will be 72 years old in March and I have decided that an annual trip to Texas to take a real deer rath...

Spitfires

I have used them for 4 years, and have had 100% success (5 for 5). All dropped within 100 yards. I don't care which broadhead you use, you have to put the bolt in the engine room. I have been told for years that mechanicals close when they exit the animal. In fact, in my game room, I have a mechanic...

Cobra pendulum sight

I am going to sell the bow and I was wondering if the 2nd generation pendulum sight was of any interest to bow collectors. Thanks, Striper. In addition I have a first generation pendulum called ...

ecoaster: Easy one! Buy a box of cornstarch or baby powder. Pry off the top of one of the nose spray plastic bottles, rinse and dry it out . Fill it with the baby powder and voila you have enough wind indicator for the whole season. It really works. Striper

Chiggers.

Cautious Clay: I have found that if I take a shower immediately after a scouting trip, scrubbing with a rough washcloth, pretty much takes care of the little demons. A spray with deep woods Off applied to your boot tops with the pants cuffs tucked in the boots is further insurance against a really s...
