Re: Hi all

Welcome aboard, Outback! And yes, I'm the friend Outback mentioned (who got him back into hunting). What a great three years we have had together, along with my wife who also hunts. Allow me to post a picture of his bear!! I'm so proud of this guy...not only the best friend a guy could ask for, but ...

Re: Is an STS really worth getting?

Absolutely worth it. But $50? Where on earth did you find that good of a price, can you provide the link?

Cheers,

Hey there! Good area to hunt, I live up this way and drive through Carnarvon all the time. I took a bear myself on opening day this year, just South of there. Try this link for Crown Land: http://crownlanduseatlas.mnr.gov.on.ca/ The MNR office in Minden is very helpful as well, their number is 705-2...

Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with new units. The reason I ask is because on another forum there were a couple of guys complaining that the new units would not light. Sent in and got new ones and they lasted only a short time. That is the first complaint I've ever heard about them. ...

Sadly, correct. The cop stated that since I had peered into his windows, that could be construed as trespassing. To be honest, I was so shocked and upset that a "neighbour" would do this, I just wanted to move on. And I know...ultimately, I should have locked it up, but I'm a small town g...

............................... But perhaps more upsetting, here is what the cop told me: if I were to press charges, the guy will deny taking it from my land, he will hire a lawyer and charge ME with trespassing (by knocking on his door). .................................... I feel for you, for sure. I had a similar thing happen this spring. I have 25 acres of bush in Haliburton County. I have my trail cam set up in the middle of nowhere, and thusly have never considered locking it up. Well, I went to check it and it was GONE. It was set up about 40 yards from a fence l...

Thanks for all the input, guys. It seems that it is far from a rare occurrence? I did just as Bstout suggested, and it's right back to the original position. I installed an STS last year, which really improved performance, and the new Boo String took it up another notch, just a dream to shoot now. T...

Re: bent arrow keeper

I lent my Phoenix to a friend (first mistake!), and it appears as though the cocking aid rope slipped over the top of the arrow keeper. As a result, it is now pressed down VERY firmly. It seems there are two types of crossbow shooters: Those who HAVE bent their arrow keeper, and those who WILL . :s...

bent arrow keeper

Hi everyone; I'm hoping to get a bit of help here. I lent my Phoenix to a friend (first mistake!), and it appears as though the cocking aid rope slipped over the top of the arrow keeper. As a result, it is now pressed down VERY firmly. Boo was saying that it should really be up a few mm from the dec...
