Thanks ComfyBear
I would just like to say thank you to ComfyBear for the great crossbow string that he sent out last week. I really like it and needed it. As usual the generosity and dedication of the members of this forum to make the Excalibur Forum the greatest in the world are unsurpassed. If you need a string ma...

Georgia flat top down
For the past five years I have hunted an oak flat using a ground blind on the edge of it. I have taken several from the flat in past seasons but this year, the deer have me pegged and were not falling for it. I have had four does pick me off before I could get a shot at them so far this season. I ha...

Re: Have a problem
Yes, your left claw could be a tad rough. If it is, using an emery cloth should smooth it out , and it's not too hard to do. I suggest you do both claws, do one at a time and be careful not to get any "filings" into the trigger unit, by covering the slot with some painter's tape. Another ...

Have a problem
I went last week and had my string reserved, again! Now after shooting probably a couple of dozen times, I notice that the serving is wearing again on the left side where the cocking claw holds it. My question is do you think that taking some emory cloth strip and going over the claw will fix the pr...

Re: I think Gremlins made my Axiom !
I was thinking stainless steel button heads. I don't think those 4 little staniless screws are going to spook a deer.

I bought a Chuck Adams model made by Bushnell. It runs around 199.00 on EBay and has ARC. It has been a good one.

Re: are dissapator pads really helping?
Personally, I think it’s like Mama always said "if it ain't broke...don't fix it. I like my pads along with the S5. I know it’s just a psychological thing but then again, if makes you feel better then that’s what you should do. It’s all about personal choice isn’t it?

Question about serving
Before the new S5 dampeners came along I used the old STS version. Not fully trusting their design I always had my serving extended past the rubber stoppers to keep any damage from being done to the string. Do you think that there is a need to extend the serving past the new S5 dampeners to prevent ...

Re: Recycling at its best
Great idea oldarcher and the rack on the wall is just awesome!! What are the claws (hooks) from? I have a couple pens that I made from broken arrows. Those are the turkey's spurs. The big ones that are mounted right into the board? They look huge like bear claws or something! Nice!! I'm sorry, Thos...
