Turkey Tearrors are a nightmare!!!
As usual, waiting until the last minuet to do something, I finally got a chance to go out and shoot my Phoenix Friday to see how my Turkey Tearrors were going to fly. I set up a range out to fifty yards and started with field points to tweak it in at the longer ranges. As usual, the Phoenix performe...

It's about 7:30 p.m. here now. At 15 till 7 I was sitting on the front porch watching my flock of birds on the hillside feed to thier roosting site. As luck would have it they pass within 20 yards of a blow down on thier way to roost. I found some burlap blind material that I had forgot about having...

Turkey Season is here. Strike one!
I thought it was tough hunting with a bow for turkey but hunting with a crossbow is even tougher. Turkey season got underway here in Georgia this past Saturday and I am hunting with my Phoenix trying to take my first crossbow bird. I have successfully taken birds in the past with both my recurve and...

I took my mount and scope off and spray painted it flat OD green which closely matched the barrel of the crossbow. I took my time and even covered up the logos and settings to make it look a little better than it would have just throwing spray paint on it. After turkey season goes out I'm going to t...

I did mine a little different. I took a hot glue gun and put some on the stock and then put my pipe insulation. If you later want to remove it all you have to do is pull off the insulation and then peel the hot glue off. It will not damage your camo on the stock either. I took mine off in anticipati...

The atom broadhead is a revolutionary type broadhead that does not use conventional blades on it. Instead it has what they call a razor wire type cutting surface. It comes in two different configurations, one a standard razor wire broadhead and two a titanium style wire on it. It has one draw back t...

I understand that there is a lot of new crossbows being manufactured and they have to have them for the crossbows they are producing but I sure wish that Bill T would throw his faithful followers a bone and get a few to the bowhunters super store so that we could get our hands on them too! After my ...

Dry fire in progress
Found this clip today on youtube. I felt bad for the guy but what was even worse was the fact that you see it coming... and wish you could just yell at the guy to stop before he breaks the strings off his crossbow.

Well you were right. I ordered my cheek piece on March 2nd and as of today March 12th, I was told by bow hunters super store that it would be possibly another week before they get any cheek pieces in. They really don't know when they will become available to them they just keep hoping to get them as...
